I am trying to install W2K8R2 onto a server that has an adaptec 1430SA raid card in it. When I go to install the drivers on the set-up screen I see 'Installing an unsigned 64-bit device driver is not supported and might result in an unusable Windows installation'

All Adaptec 64-bit drivers for Windows Server 2008 x64 that are available as a download for the products listed, are signed. The installation fails because some of the Microsoft supplied installation medias contain a faulty script. The script recognizes the signature but the installation does not continue. 

The Windows Server 2008 installation log file - setupapi.dev.log available in the directory %systemdrive%:\Windows\inf - shows the following entry for the driver file: 
Verifying file against specific (valid) catalog failed! (0x800b0109) 

Note: The only way to get the installation logs during setup is to press Ctrl + F10 after the driver installation fails. This should open a command prompt that allows to copy the logs out of the temporary directory X:\Windows\inf. 

The issue has been reported with the "Microsoft Action Pack DVD (MAPS), X14-62418, 4/2008" and the MSDN DVD "Windows Server 2008 (x64 and x86), English, Disc 4454, May 2008" so far. 

Please contact Microsoft for a possible workaround.

Just for anyone that stumbles upon this, I was able to get this working by using these drivers for Windows 2008 R2: aar81xx_win2k8_64_b11987.  This driver was the only one that I could get working as the others caused the unsigned error described above.
