I've just added the LUIS service to my Azure subscription (hence moving from the free to the paid service), but now I'm struggling how to use these keys.

1. On my Azure subscription portal, the keys (2 of them) are available. I copied the first key.

3. In my code, I changed the subscription key (from the free key to the first key I copied this Azure portal. The Luis service doesn't accept the Azure subscription key.

If I revert back to the free key, the code runs fine.

The key you copied from "My Settings / Subscription Keys" is for programmatic API keys.  These are used for model building.  You can retrieve your 2 keys to use by going to the Azure Portal and selecting your account with the LUiS purchase.  You can then click on "Keys".  You will see 2 separate keys, each of them can be used.  One is a backup.
