Currently got 3DS Max 2009 (it say Release 11.0 on the about dialog) for both 32 and 64 bit versions.
So when I try to load the plugin from the SDK I get an error dialog

"DLL <Max9_FSModelExp.dle> is not madde for this version of the program - not loaded"

which whilst is informative is not the result I was hoping for.

Does anyone have any bright ideas or is this just a non starter. Will ESP v2.0 have a plugin that will support the newer versions of 3DS Max?

I tried to do some modeling with 3dsMax 11 and the ESP plugins as well and had the same problem.  As far as I know, the only solution at this point is to buy 3dsMax 9.  Autodesk's licensing/regsitration mechanism may prevent you from just buying a used copy somewhere, but if you subscribe to Autodesk's support service (I think it was ~
