we are evaluating for our strategy project to select the best display to cover our requirements.

You should reach out to OEMs for support of their hardware.  There are a number of Vending Machine and Parking Meter manufacturers that have devices that are exposed to sun etc and they would be better equipt to answer your question as to the type of display to use.
