When I allowed Image Confiuration Editor to update the packages that make up my 1.4GB image, the image more than doubled in size, to over 3GB. C:\windows\winsxs is well over 2GB all by itself.

that's a great question.  We all work on embedded systems. And I assuem that the old dll's will be repaced by the new ones.  How can the old dll's be removed from the system. I also have the same problem. I can not update all QFE's because the CF has  just 4GB  of size. It should be enought for an embedded system.
