I am wondering if it's possible to create an applicationEndpoint without a certificate. I understand that the certificate is needed to establish trust between the machine which is running the UCMA app and the OCS server, however in my scenario this machine happens to be the same.

Note: I've noticed that ServerPlatformSettings has overloaded constructors one which expects a certificate and one which doesn't. I tried creating the ServerPlatformSettings without a certificate. The CollaborationPlatform object is able to start up, but I encounter an exception when I try to create the ApplicationEndpoint object.

EXCEPTION: An ApplicationEndpoint can be registered only if proxy and Multual Tls have been specified.

If you are running on the OCS machine, then you should just be able to use the same cert that OCS is using to authenticate your application.
