Hi,

I have a BizTalk 2010 with the latest CU installed (CU6). After the installation of the CU6, I have the following trouble.

I have a BizTalk application with 2 assemblies containing schemas and maps. Maps from these 2 assemblies are associated with receive ports and send ports.

When I want to deploy a new version of one of the assembly, via the command "Modify resource" in the Administration console, I got an error telling me there is a FK error about a map that the console cannot remove. The map comes from another assembly of the application, not the assembly that I want to update.

This new behavior comes with the CU6, I just check it with a snapshot of my machine taken before the CU6 install (CU5 is installed in this snapshot).

If it is "by design", it means that updating an assembly in a BizTalk application becomes more complicated because you have to export the bindings, remove all maps associated with ports (or remove the ports), update the assembly and finally import the bindings... I hope this is a bug...

Hi,

Maybe you can post your question to https://connect.microsoft.com/  , then the microsoft expert will tell you whether it is a bug or not.

For how to add a BizTalk assembly to an application, please check:
Using the BizTalk Server Administration console
1.Click Start, click All Programs, click  Microsoft BizTalk Server 2010, and then click BizTalk Server Administration.

2.In the console tree, expand BizTalk Server 2010 Administration and the BizTalk Group containing the application to which you want to add the BizTalk assembly.

3.Expand Applications and the application to which you want to add a BizTalk assembly.

4.Right-click Resources, point to Add and then click BizTalk Assemblies.

5.Click Add, select the BizTalk assembly file, and then click  Open.

6.In Destination, type the full path of the location where the assembly file is to be copied when the application is installed from the .msi file, including the file name. If not provided, the assembly file is not copied to the local file system during installation.

7.In Options, specify the options for installing the BizTalk assembly to the GAC, and then click OK.

Using the command line

1.Open a command prompt as follows: Click Start, click  Run, type cmd, and then click OK.

2.Type the following command, substituting the appropriate values, as described in the following table:

Thanks.
