Our TFS project has a "required" check-in note for "Code Review Date". this has turned out to be a bit of an annoyance as it applies to all branches in that project, whereas we would like it to apply only to specific branches.

Is it possible to apply a check-in note to specific branches?

Did you mean add the comment when respond to the code review like the following picture:

If so there is no such feature now. You could only add overall comment or file comment. If I misunderstand your meaning, please feel free to let me know.
