TFS 2015中的gated check in build触发器仍与tfs 2012相同。

We've been running TFS 2015 (on prem) since update 2 when the gated check-in feature was released. At first, it seemed to work just fine. Shortly after, however, we noticed that sometimes when we checked in changes the gated check-in triggers would simply not fire and the check-in would be accepted immediately. This was quite rare though, and usually the very next check-in (even making changes to the exactly same files) would work as intended.
Lately this has turned around though. Now it seems it is in fact very rare to have the trigger fire and the normal case is the changes are accepted immediately. This is really quite frustrating since we've been using (and liking) the feature for quite a while now (previously on tfs 2012), and now it does not seem reliable at all.
And since this seems (to me anyways) completely random, meaning the triggers might behave differently between two almost identical check-ins, I really don't know how to go about fixing this issue. Any ideas?

Thank you for posting here.
The gated check in build trigger in TFS 2015 is still the same to the tfs 2012. When a developers try to check-in, they are prompted to build their changes.
When you check in some changes that don't included in your build Working folders. It will not trigger a build before checking in. Could it be the reason that your gated check in build doesn't work sometimes.
