Not sure you guys are familiar with these tactics but here in the UK myself and quite a few of my friends have had cold calls claiming that "they have information that there are 'hidden problems' or 'serious faults' with our computers".

Once thing that particularly concerns me is that they go to extents to show their legitimacy by getting you to google the Microsoft Partner site and locating their business.  This is to convince people that they are in some way vetted and endorsed by Microsoft.  Obviously, any man and his dog can sign up for a "Registered Partner" status but your average guy isn't to know that.

Is there any way on the partner site to report these cases so that their companies can be put into question (and chucked out)?  Also, I suggest the Partner Portal search engine places a warning on Organisations that are "newly registered" to warn people that they might not be genuine and that Microsoft do not provide any guaratees about the business listed.

My main query is the one about reporting abuse of the Partner system.
