Follow these steps

(1) Disable EWF
Two options -
(a)Commit changes and disable live (does not require reboot)
ewfmgr.exe C: /commitanddisable /live

(b) Disable without committing (needs restart)
ewfmgr.exe C: /disable
shutdown.exe /r /t 0

(2) Update the image

(3) Re-Enable EWF
ewfmgr.exe C: /enable
shutdown.exe /r /t 0
