I have installed VS2017 Professional on two machines and the tooltip help appears different on both. I want to get the CORRECT one; what setting should I change to that?

Welcome to the MSDN forum.

What’s your VS 207 Professional version? Please go to Help-About Microsoft Visual Studio and view it and compare your two professional version is same or not.

Please have a try with the following to troubleshot this issue:

1. Go to Tools menu=>get tools and features to open VS installer, More-Repair to repair VS
2. Open CMD and navigate to the VS 2017 installation folder like and run the command: devenv /safemode to run it as safe mode, then check if the installed extensions caused this issue.
3. Go to Tools>Import and Export settings>Reset all settings and backup your current setting, then choose ‘General’ to roll back to the default settings

Now the latest version of VS 2017 is 15.9.5 and if the current version is lower, please run the VS installer as administrator to update it, then create a new project to check it again.
