I used to be able to make one setting in VS project to cause the editor to save all source files in a specific encoding. (The projects are C++, and the encoding is us-ascii, but that probably does not matter.)

In Visual Studio 2017, I can find no way to do that. I only find a way to save one file in a desired encoding.
