Hi All,

I installed ReportViewer Distributable 2010 (ReportViewer.exe) version 10.0 in my machine and used this control in my page. On aspx design page, the report viewer control is not getting rendered, means design shows error in creating control.

Error in creating control - ReportViewer
Failed to create designer "Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.ReportViewer, Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms, Version=10.0.0.0, publickeytoken=token number"

My assumption is that on installing reportviewer.exe file, following dlls are NOT installed in GAC and creating this issue.

Microsoft.ReportViewer.Design.dll
Microsoft.ReportViewer.webDesign.dll

If my assumption is right, can you guide me how to get these dlls?

If not, please let me know how to fix this issue?

The redist only installs the runtime controls if you want to get the designer support you will have to install VS2010.
