Are updates for Xamarin in no longer supported in VS 2015? We are still supporting an 8.1 app so are still working in VS 2015.
If I go to Tools -Options - Xamarin and "Check now" for updates all I see is Workbooks and Inspector. If I want to update Xamarin what do I do?

Welcome to the MSDN forum.
For the VS 2015, it seems the latest supported version of VS tools for Xamarin is 4.8.0.756. Please go to Tools-Options-Xamarin-Other and click "Check Now", it should list this version like the following, click Download, then install it.
What’s your VS 2015 version? Please go to Help-About Microsoft Visual Studio and if it is not the latest version VS 2015 with update 3, we can go to Control Panel-Programs and Features, right click the VS 2015 and Change-Modify, select the VS 2015 update 3 to upgrade. If it is the latest version, follow the same steps and Change-Repair to repair VS, then check it again.
You can also go to Tools-Extensions and Updates-Updates to check there have any updates about the Xamarin or not.
