my VB 2008 class project is due this week. Problem is, the instructor, although a very nice guy, was about as much help as a blank chalkboard. I've handed in three of the assignments, but I'm COMPLETELY at a loss. I've confused myself. Can anyone take a look and give me some pointers

Sorry to hear that!  Might be time to pay your instructor an off-hours visit to see if he can clarify things.  Either that or change classes.  :)
