Hey everyone,

I am trying to add a MediaPlayer asset into my user interface that I am implementing in Expression Blend 4 using visual basic.

I have the entire Expression Studio 4 suite installed.

I am running it on Windows 7 (64 bit).

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the suite in both Windows 7 and windows xp, I still cant get the MediaPlayer asset to show up.

From reading that post, it sounds like Encoder produces some Silverlight content that you want to use in your Silverlight app in Blend?

You will need to add a reference to the mediaplayer.dll which is created by Encoder. In Blend, in the Project tab, right click the references section, pick add reference, and find the mediaplayer.dll procuded by encoder. Once you do that, you should see the element you want in the assets panel.
