Can anyone tell me if Microsoft recommends periodically rebooting computers with Windows XP and if so, how often?  I am developing a product based on XP and want to pass along the recommendation.

I can't recall encountering any Microsoft suggestion regarding periodically rebooting a computer.  My personal experience with XP involves running it on a laptop with, at times, at least a couple of months between rebooting.  I put the laptop into hibernation several times per day.  Reboots were usually only necessary when installing software, or when patches were released, downloaded, and installed.
