Hello,

We recently updated to TFS 2017 and stopped using MTM; some of the features we used in MTM were useful and added value to our teams ability to easily navigate and use the testing part of VS. I'm trying to see if in TFS2017 I can see a list of all test cases for the current iteration, grouped by user story and status of test cases. I need to see at a glance which stories needs to be tested or which stories has failed test cases - and access them from the display. I can create a chart/graph in the iteration on the test plan, but that does not tell me which stories need attention, nor what is the status of a particular test case.

Thanks for the help in advance. Hopefully I'm not asking for too much!

Thank you for posting here.

According to your description, I suggest that you could try to use the Annotations feature in TFS2017. After you link the test to user story(Link type is tested by) and enable the test annotations, you could see all the tests and there statues under the user story in the board like the following picture:
