Our company is switching to Project Server 2010. They do not want to use the software for keep track of hours being billed to the customer. They do however, want to keep track of hours so they can allocate resources across a couple of projects.  I was keeping the plan updated for the team, but we are trying to use the system as intended so we now have them updating their tasks. This has put an administrative burden on those that are already spread too thin. So my question...... Is there any benifit to using the Task Update/Timesheet features vs. me entering the updates (% complete, Start/Finish date, etc...) for the team.
