I have TFS 2015 Update 3 with 2015 Power Tools installed. I am able to view Work Item Templates  using Team> Work Item Templates. I can create and edit them without issue. I can also apply them to a work item.

The issue I have is that recently, When I click Work Items in Team Explorer, the Work Item Templates node is completely missing, so I can not manage the templates.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled TFS 2015 and Power Tools with no change.I also reset dev environment and settings.

Firstly please clean the TFS cache, delete all contents under this folder:

C：\Users \ your account \ AppData \ Local \ Mymicoftoft \Team Foundation\6.0

C:\Users\your account\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Team Foundation\6.0

After that, clean the cache of your Visual Studio:
