I need the raw disparity data (not the depth in mm) returned by the Kinect. I saw some questions on the forum but none helped me directly, unless I'm missing something.

I can already read and save data coming from Kinect but realized it's depth data and not disparity. Is there any built-in function etc that would give me that. Can the depth data be reverse mapped to disparity (isn't there loss of information during the forward mapping?). Any pointers would be fine.

This isn't provided directly by the SDK and you will have to calculate that. We provide the resulting depth and the RAW IR (Color Stream). You might want to review the following and other links from there:
