I purchased the Expression Pro MSDN Subscription.  Despite the fact that Visual Studio is part of that package, I can't download the beta from the MSDN subscriber download page.  In fact, I can't use the MSDN Subscriber download pages for ANY of my entitlements, despite the fact that that the product keys are identical.  After spending $1000, I expect a little more consideration.

You are correct that Visual Studio does come with the Expression Professional Subscription or EPS as we refer to it at Microsoft.  Additionally, as a tools subscription EPS runs on the same platform as MSDN and shares many common characteristics.  However, EPS is not an MSDN subscription and is intended to be a Design centric tools subscription as opposed to the Development centric subscriptions under the MSDN brand.  It's for this reason that EPS includes the full Expression toolkit + VS Standard while the MSDN subscriptions include VS Professional (and potentially no Expression products depending on the MSDN subscription level).  With regards to the early release of the VS 2010 Beta to MSDN subscribers, it does mean that EPS customers are not entitled to the same benefit as they are part of a different subscription program.  I hope this explanation helps clear up any confusion and for additional details on the Expression Professional Subscription, please visit our product page at: http://www.microsoft.com/expression/products/purchase.aspx?filter=eps.
