I have successfully gotten the Expression Encoder to encode a live video feed from a video capture card and send it out to multiple clients using Windows Media Services. I would like to have Expression Encoder start automatically with Windows, and automatically start streaming. I saved all the settings in the live mode to a .XEL file, and when double clicking this I can get everything configured to the point that all I need to do is press the 'Start' button. Is there any way that Expression Encoder can start the stream by itself on launch?

If you hand edit the xel file, there is a hidden parameter called AutoStart="true" which you can add to enable this. It is an attribute that should be added to the LiveJob entry, like:

 

<LiveJob AutoStart="true ...> </LiveJob
