In EPM 2007 I have an issue, As the person who creates the workspace is originally the owner... it's reassigned to the PM when the project is ready to be turned over to them.
 
I found a bug where each time the PM's security was changed it would reset their workspace permissions, and they would lose their ownership. Therefore I had to remove the workspace sync option from PWA.
 
I would like to find out if this is resolved in EPM 2010

Hello Naresh,

 

Re-syncing of workspace permissions after modifying any security in PWA is not a bug, this is by design. It does not make a sense that if project owner is changed from A to B, owner will be still A.

 

Also if you manually add\remove any user from project workspace site, during WSS root site sync process (often triggered during publishing or editing of security related attributes), original or appropriate permissions will be restored.

Behavior is same in 2010
