I'm making a workflow for a process that is dependent on the status field. 

For stage two in my workflow, I need it to wait for the status field to change, then go to the corresponding stage in the workflow. The issue is, there are multiple choices for what the status can change to. If it changes to:

I'm using sharepoint 2013 and it seems to only allow me to use wait for field to EQUAL ______. I could make not equal, one of, or or work... but I don't seem to have those options. I have tried parallel workflows and loops. Would creating several workflows instead of one be a viable solution or is there a simpler way?

Right now I'm thinking the way forward would be to create several workflows that are all started automatically when an item is created, but have them all start with wait for FIELD equals VALUE. Build one for each of the possible statuses and work through each one's specific processes there.

Any reasons that wouldn't work? Definitely not the most elegant solution...
