I know this has been asked plenty of times, but each time has a different resolution.
I cannot get the Kinect v1 SDK installed. Previously I had the kinect sdk beta1 installed and my Kinect worked fine.
I uninstalled that beta from the original installer for it, as well as uninstalling the language pack from the control panel.
When I run the "KinectSDK-v1.0-Setup.exe", the language pack is installed properly and then it breaks. It breaks when it says "Processing: Microsoft Kinect drivers(64 bit)" and then it says " Setup Failed. An error ocurred while installing: Details: " with no details or error code. When I look at control panel, the Language pack is successfully installed.
Computer Specs:
Dell Optiplex 960
Windows 7 Enterprise (64 bit) with all available updates.

I have .NET 4.0 installed
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the DirectX SDK and the DirectX runtime.
I have Visual Studio 2010 professional installed.
I have run the installer as an Admin.
I have emptied the Temp folder and removed Microsoft Server Speech Platform Runtime
It's failing when its installing drivers so I looked at the x64Drivers log file

I just have one question have you installed the kinect runtime also? The kinect runtime installed with kinect sdk v1 can cause problems in development if debugging with xbox kinect but sometimes the runtime can act weird with installed with full sdk. Try making sure not to install runtime on development machine because sdk has everything you need and runtime is just for production or end-user machines.Also, make sure open ni and conflicting programs are uninstalled which include unregistering scott's webcam directshow filter for kinect with beta 2 which he used on this forum to get kinect rgb video to show up in skype and it will not work with beta 1 but he still has beta 2 code posted.
