Unable to change installation directory while trying to insall VS 2017 community version. The change path is greyed out. Please help!

Hi,

Welcome to MSDN forum.

If you has installed some components for visual studio community 2017 before, when you want to modify visual studio, the location path will  grey out.

If not, have you install the other version of visual studio?

If it is, this is because once a set of shared components is installed, we install all the other components to the same directory structure. You need to uninstall the whole visual studio and reinstall it.
