The issue on the link you shared, has been reported to VS developing team, that's probably a limitation to a customer control migrated to the latest version of Visual Studio.

To be honest, as support engineers we've tried our best to look into that case several times but we still could not figure it out, that's why we suggested you report that issue to Microsoft Visual Studio Developing team directly, they may fix it in the next update of VS.
