I have implemented and tested the script available and documented under:  http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/scriptcenter/Hide-the-specified-full-4049ad73

It works absolutly fine so far.

The only fly in the ointment is that once the mapped drives are hidden using this module/function I cannot restore the old condition anymore for the affected users. It means all network drive will remain irreversible hidden.

Would it be possible to add an additional option to the existing function "Set-OSCMappedDrive" (e.g. Set-OSCMappedDrive –UnhideAll) to revert the hide functionality?
Or it there any other "simple" way to unhide all drives /revert the function "Set-OSCMappedDrive –UnhideAll"?

Use Group Policy - it is the preferred method.
