Hello,

We have a list containing a field/column of type Hyperlink containing link to a shared folder/file system in SharePoint online.

e.g. - File://networkpath

When we click on the link from SharePoint list it doesn't work. Network folder does not open.

It works when we directly copy paste the network path into explorer.

Is there any solution to make these links work?

Hi,

Please add the SharePoint online site to trusted sites list in IE, and then check if it works.

If you meet the errors below,

Access Denied

You need permission to access this site.

please use one of the following workarounds as appropriate for your situation:

1. Share individual files but not folders.

2. Share a whole site collection or subsite.

3. If your site doesn't require Limited-access user permission lockdown mode, deactivate this site collection feature. 

Note Other features such as publishing may require this feature to work correctly.
