We had a Sharepoint Designer workflow that didn't seem to be behaving correctly. The workflow is activated when a new contact record is created in Sharepoint. It is supposed to send a notification email to the person that the new record gets assigned to. Some people were saying that they were receiving the email but others kept saying that they were not receiving the email.

So we deleted the workflow and rebuilt it as Version 2. Since then we have seen similar behaviour - some people receive the mail and some others do not. Looking at the new records created since the workflow was rebuilt we can see that the workflow is showing as "Cancelled" for some contacts but "Completed" for others.

If we click on the "Cancelled" error message, then there is more info on the error - "Coercion Failed: Input cannot be null for this coercion."
