We have a Sharepoint 2013 on premise web application that uses Windows authentication, Form based authentication (SQL) and Form based authentication (Lotus AD). Hence, we have configured an extended web app for the same. When we authenticate to the Sharepoint site using Form based credentials (Lotus AD), the "Open in explore view" of document library does not work correctly.

The explorer view for the sharepoint library opens for the first time and for any consecutive requests, it throws an access denied error and requests to add the web app url in the Trusted Sites of the browser. Even after configuring as prompted by the error, we fail to open the library in windows explorer. Also, trying the mapped drive option throws the same error and prompts for Windows credentials. Our application users are prominently FBA users, and hence cannot provide Windows credentials.
