we would like to share whole libraries with internal and external collaborators and we would like our, somewhat unskilled, users to achieve this simply.

There is no Share button on the ribbon for libraries.  Can one be enabled?  Other options for simple sharing methods?

Hi AndyF,

Whether you use modern experience or classic experience? There is no Share button in the library modern experience by default.

To share the library, we can return to classic experience and click "Share With" in the LIBRARY tab in the ribbon.

Or go to library settings->Permissions for this document library to grant the permission with relevant users.
