Have recently formatted the boot and recovery partition of a Medion2230 laptop, then merged the two partitions together into a single NTFS partition.  Everything should be 'clean'.  Then, attempted to install a fresh copy of WindowsXP Home.  All OK until the final stages, when the 'Blue Screen' of death appeared during initialising of hardware stage.  Rebooted and XP setup carried on as normal to repeat the earlier stages and went to the 'Blue Screen' at same point as before.  Using some diagnostic software, I reformatted the drive again, loaded XP set up and had the same problem.  Anybody know what to do?
