I was trying to install "R" for visual studio when I got stuck. The error message says "install operation did not finish successfully. Please reinstall or repair Visual Studio."

According to the error message "Install operation did not finish successfully. Please reinstall or repair Visual Studio." to work around this issue, please find the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\VisualStudio\14.0\Setup\VS\the edition of your visual studio and if the value for InstallResult is 3010, change it to 0. Otherwise, perform a repair of the product as requested.
