Guys,

been working on this all days but I just can't get it to work. After installing:

1. Tools for Windows Phone
2. WindowsPhoneDeveloperResources_en-US_Patch1.msp
3. VS10-KB2486994-x86.exe

and trying to run VS to start a new Windows Phone project, it simply reports the "an update to visual studio is required to create Silverlight for Windows Phone project".

After following the link and installing the update I try again, same exception.

I already tried to add the DLL to the GAC manually by typing :

cd "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.0A\bin\NETFX 4.0 Tools"
gacutil /i "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Common7\IDE\PrivateAssemblies\Microsoft.Windows.Design.Platform.dll" /f


No luck so far. I tried repairing everything, reinstalling everything...

No idea what Im doing wrong.
