I just bought a new laptop with Windows Vista and created a user account, which is also an administrator account being the only account. Yet I have no administrator privileges !!!! I can't install anything, including msn messenger as I am told that I do not have permission!!! Then who the hell has permission??

Right-click on the install program and select "Run as administrator". I don't know if MSN Messenger is compatible with Windows Vista, but you can install Windows Live Messenger (it is the new name of the MSN Messenger) from http://get.live.com/messenger/overview
