Recently, we have got Acrobat Reader latest version installed on my machine (client machine). However, I cannot open PDF document uploaded in document library. But, the same document can be open in browser when I right click on file name and say open in new tab. Furthermore, this issue is related to only PDF files.

2. Can open PDF files in browser by right clicking on document and open in new tab on the same machine wherein latest Acrobat Reader version is installed.

3. Can open same PDF files from other machine where earlier Acrobat Reader version is installed.

Per my test in my SharePoint 2010 environment, I install the adobe Acrobat Reader, configure strict mode in Browser File Handling, Set "open in the client application" of Default open behavior for browser-enabled documents in the advanced settings in the library settings. Then when I open the pdf file in the document library, it can be opened in the adobe Acrobat Reader.
