I want to transfer a game license on xbox live. The process wants me to enter my windows live ID and password, however when I originally set up xbox live I did not have an ISP so I used my friends account at hotmail.com. I have since forgotten the password and my friend has moved away. The problem is my gamertag is attached to my friends hotmail account. I want to use my personal windows live ID and have it attached to my xbox live gamertag. I hope you understand what I'm saying because just to get to this point was an exercise in futility. I've tried the usual solutions, so please tell me something new and useful. So far I've found microsoft to be less than useful in all regards.
