I have an application that allows me to set User/password credentials in Azure AD.  I want to bring up a browser with those credentials supplied so that the user does not need to know them. I have not found anything related to this kind of functionality

If I understand you correctly you are looking for a solution where your application does not require user interaction through web browser.  Please refer to the sample - Authenticating to Azure AD non-interactively using a username & password or Windows Integrated Authentication and tweak it based on your needs.  However, if this is not what you are looking for then could you please elaborate your use case.
