Is Azure AD Connect supposed to sync also devices (Win10 laptop's) to Azure AD or do I need to manually join these devices to AAD?

AADC can sync Win10 devices a long time, of course this lead to a hybrid join, but is more focused on remove the device when the computer account is removed.

Beginning with AADC 1.1.819.0 you can use the Install Wizard to Join Win10 and also older devices directly.
