Note: At the moment the we are not sure whether the domain names are same in second data center or not. our infra team is looking for challenges on this as well.

If the destination farm is in the same domain as the source farm, there will be no major challenges.  You could probably do this via content database attach.  On the other hand, if the domains are different, the main challenge will be updating all of the user accounts.  See SharePoint 2013: PowerShell automation of user and group reconfigurations for details.  You will also need to update any alternate access mappings
