We have production farm with SP 2013 enterprise portal.

• 2 Web
• 2 App
• 2 OWA

We have development farm on Azure:

• 1 Web

We have been using them since 1 year now. Both of them are of different domains. As per requirement we need to create replica of Production farm to UAT farm.

Now creating UAT replica needs to be on Azure (like in Dev farm) with different domain name can be achieved using below methods:

However due to Azure (change of Domain name) will my SharePoint production backup and import of VM (above option 2) will work seamlessly? How can I update all internal references to new domain and new service accounts?

It is recommended to create a new farm with same architecture and migrate the databases using database-attach method. Attach the content databases to the web application.

在附加内容数据库之前，请确保SharePoint帐户具有数据库的db_owner权限.

Before attaching content database, make sure the SharePoint account has db_owner permissions for the databases.
