Hi everyone, our network admin is trying to figure out how to do a unattended network install for the .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 across our organization. Our users workstation currently just have version 3.0. Since its not on windows update he is having an hard time figuring out how to install it. He tried the following method detailed in this article:

Its not working. He said when he extracted the archive there are many MSI's that need to be run (and they probably need to be run in a specific order). He tried to install it on one users machine to test it and it didn't work correctly. It looks like it installed (you can see .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 in Install/Uninstall Programs Control Panel App) but some of the changes that are made when you install the 3.5 SP1 update are not made (like updating the .Net Framework 2.0 to SP2).

I made a simple app using the entity framework to test the install, and as it appears, it did not work correctly.

We do not want to have to manually install this on everyones workstation. Does anyone have any solutions?
