I created a publishing site in sharepoint 2010 running on Windows Server 2008. The site works fine only that the sub-pages in the global navigation do not show in the published site despite that they show on the development server.

When we navigate to site settings->Navigation->chose show Pages both in Global Navigation and Current navigation,  pages displayed in the Global Navigation and Current navigation:
