I have been reading a lot about mobile apps, SDKs, etc but confused on what exactly I need to build a generic web application using Visual Studio. I do not want tp install any scanner specific SDKs...Could someone please help.

I am new to mobile development and by the way we''re using Motorolas Mobile computers to scan barcodes that are windows CE devices.
