hi all i have download the amazon sample project from here

This caused me quite a bit of grief as well.

The problem is not having any domains setup in SimpleDB. If you follow Amazon's SimpleDB Getting Started Guide and create a domain and some attributes in the Scratchpad app, you'll be able to click the Simple DB - List Domains button without a crash.
