I am working on a sharepoint 2016 on-premise farm. and i have the following weird behavioure:-

5. now i create a new list based on the template.

But when i access the new list i find that it is using the original list workflow and not a new workflow... as when i access my workflows list from sharepoint designer, i can only see the original workflow, while both lists; listA and the new list are referencing it.. so is this scenario valid ? or i am facing problems ??

I can reproduce this issue in my test environment, it seems to be by design.

如果您修改工作流程并重新发布，则新列表中的工作流程将不会更新.建议您为新列表创建一个新列表工作流程，并从旧工作流程中复制操作.

If you modify the workflow and republish, the workflow in the new list will not update. I suggest you create a new list workflow for the new list and copy the action from the old workflow.
