IE-> internet options-> Security-> Trusted sites->

Lisa陈&NBSP;

I bought a Microsoft Surface Book 2 mid-June last year to use for work. It uses Windows 10. I really like it and it serves my needs greatly for what I use it for, work. I, all of a sudden, started having issues getting into my company's Sharepoint site. I received a white screen that said Error: Access Denied. Sign in as different user, request access and go back to the site are the only options available. Only the request access button was responsive. I tried clearing cache/cookies/etc.

I spoke with my company's Sharepoint person and she sent me a link to CookieSetCORP the sharepoint site, I did so and when I used my everyday Sharepoint links I would be redirected to a corporate edition login screen. I'm not a corporate employee, my credentials did not work on this login screen. So after some digging I had found the IE reset in the advanced tab of the Internet Options. I used it and restarted my computer and viola I had my old login screen again. Unfortunately now when I login, it gives me the HTTP 500 error.

Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge all load my company's Sharepoint. I can access whatever I want, prior and/or current projects of mine. But I can only upload one file at a time, and I currently have to upload 400+ files. That is a full day of uploading one at a time to make up for the 4 days since I’ve had issues with Sharepoint. Instead of wasting an entire day and shirking my other job responsibilities while trying to upload a file at a time, I was hoping to troubleshoot IE until it is fixed.

Internet Explorer is the only browser that allows you to upload up to 99 files at a time. It also has a file explorer mode in which you turn all of Sharepoint into what resembles a folder on your computer, then you can just drag and drop more than 100 files/folders at a time to upload. I would be able to catch up in under an hour. Before I was shown these faster upload methods, it would take me 2.5 hours to upload one day’s reports one by one.

Yes, I can use another browser. No it would not be time efficient. So far with my company's Sharepoint person completely reset my permissions, so I thankfully have access to what I need to on Sharepoint using a different browser. My IE got completely screwed up from that first link, formatting this website’s cookie interface. Once I reset IE, which I hoped would fix this browser’s issue, It gave me my original log-in screen but keeps giving me a server error when I go to log-in.

Regardless of where I try to go on Sharepoint via link (past or current project), I received some error impeding my access.

Does anyone have any idea of where to proceed with this? I was told to use a different computer. lol I have an old 2011 laptop which when using my company’s site (I tested last night), everything works, full library access in Explorer Folder mode. So it is just my current Work Computer’s IE 11. I’m afraid to take it to Best Buy because I don’t think they will have the expertise for Sharepoint issues, especially Sharepoint 2010.

I'm beyond frustrated, so any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi DadBGengler,

Since you can access to the site from other browsers while not IE, it seems like a client error instead of server error.

1. Add your site in to trusted site.

IE->internet options->Security->Trusted sites->add your site into trusted site.

2. Add your site into compatibility mode.

Tools > Compatibility View settings->Add your SharePoint website to the compatibility view. Or check the box "display all websites in compatibility view".

3. Set automatically logon with current user name and password of Local intranet and trusted sites.

4. If the issue still exists, try to disable the authentication loopback check.

5. You can use F12 to Change the Document mode to 10 and compare the results:
